Mr. McFadden is leaving to pursue an academic career and will be focusing on completing his dissertation for a doctoral degree at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. He will also be pursuing consulting and business opportunities.
Michael Davenport, MD, who currently serves as vice president of medical affairs at the health system, will assume the role of interim president and CEO.
