Methodist Health System appoints CIO, foundation CEO: 5 notes

Omaha, Neb.-based Methodist Health System selected Kent Sona to serve as vice president of information technology and CIO and Tracy Madden-McMahon as president and CEO of the Methodist Hospital Foundation, according to an Omaha Herald-World report.

Here are five notes:

1. Mr. Sona has served as director of infrastructure and chief technology officer of the health system since 2016.

2. He has prior experience serving as director of information services at West Corp., a telecommunications services provider.

3. He also has nearly a decade of experience in the United States Army as an information systems operator and combat medic.

4. Ms. Madden-McMahon most recently served as vice president and chief development officer at Methodist.

5. Previously, she was an anchor/reporter for WOWT-TV, the NBC affiliate in Omaha.

Editor's note: A previous version of this article incorrectly indicated Methodist Health System's headquarters was in Dallas, not Omaha. We regret this error.
