Mercy Ministries of Laredo (Texas), part of Chesterfield, Mo.-based Mercy, has named Evelin Manzanares president.
Ms. Manzanares succeeds Libbie Casso, who recently retired after 25 years of service, according to a June 1 Mercy news release.
She joins Mercy Ministries of Laredo from Dumfries, Va.-based Lunera Health, formerly GPW Health Center, where she served as COO. During her 11 years with the organization, she held multiple leadership roles spanning systems management, patient relations and enrollment.
Mercy Ministries of Laredo was formed in 2003 and operates a clinic that provides healthcare and social services, as well as Casa de Misericordia, a domestic violence shelter for women and children.
Mercy operates 55 acute care and speciality hospitals.
