Chesterfield, Mo.-based Mercy has named Tricia McGusty president of Mercy St. Louis communities, effective March 9.
Ms. McGusty brings more than 25 years of healthcare experience, including 15 years in leadership roles at large hospitals, according to a March 9 Mercy news release. She most recently served as COO and interim CEO of HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest.
In her new role, she will oversee Mercy’s St. Louis communities and lead operational priorities, including a campus renovation at Mercy Hospital St. Louis.
Ms. McGusty succeeds David Meiners, MD, who has served as president since 2020. Dr. Meiners will remain with the organization during the leadership transition and later serve as an executive advisor.
Mercy operates 55 acute care and specialty hospitals and more than 1,000 physician practice locations and outpatient facilities.
