Tyler Hillis was appointed COO of Mercy Southeast, part of Chesterfield, Mo.-based Mercy.
Mr. Hillis joins after a nationwide search and most recently served as COO of Community Health Systems’ Baldwin Health in Foley, Ala., according to an Aug. 17 news release.
The move is a return to Mercy for Mr. Hillis, who previously was COO of Mercy Ardmore in Oklahoma and executive director of operations and strategic initiatives at Mercy Jefferson in Crystal City, Mo.
Mercy has 55 acute care and specialty hospitals, more than 1,000 physician practice locations and outpatient facilities, more than 5,000 physicians and advanced practitioners, and more than 50,000 employees across Arkansas, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.
