Here are four things to know:
1. Dr. Gunter served as senior vice president and COO of Mercy Clinic since November 2014.
2. He joined Mercy in 1997, initially providing care in Hot Springs, Ark.
3. He has held numerous leadership roles within the organization, including senior vice president of clinical support and women’s services.
4. Mercy Clinic was created by combining seven separate Mercy physician organizations. Today, it includes more than 2,100 physicians and 1,200 other providers.
