Mercy Medical Center-Sioux City selects new president

Mercy Medical Center-Sioux City (Iowa) named Beth Hughes president, effective in early May.

Ms. Hughes currently serves as vice president of hospital operations and strategy at The Advis Group. Her prior experience includes serving as president of St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston and regional president and CEO of Chicago-based Presence Health.

Prior to Presence Health, Ms. Hughes was president and CEO of Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Chicago.

“[Ms. Hughes’] extensive leadership experience and dedication to a culture of excellence aligns perfectly with the mission, vision and values of Mercy” said Bob Ritz, president of Mercy Health Network, the medical center’s parent.
