Dignity Health’s Mercy Medical Center Redding (Calif.) tapped Todd Smith to serve as president, effective Feb. 26, 2017, according to a Record Searchlight report.

Here are three things to know:

1. Mr. Smith currently serves as president of Dignity Health’s St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff, Calif.

2. He has worked at Dignity Health for 31 years.

3. He is succeeding Mark Korth, who is taking on the role of senior vice president of operations and chief transformation officer with Dignity Health.
