In December, Matthew Fox, MD, will become chief medical officer of Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Dr. Fox has spent nearly three decades practicing family medicine. He has served in several leadership roles at Mercy, including as medical staff president and chair of the credentials committee. As CMO, he will lead systemwide quality, safety, risk management and regulatory affairs, according to an Oct. 23 news release.
Dr. Myers succeeds Tony Myers, MD, who is retiring at the end of the year.
Mercy Cedar Rapids is anchored by Mercy Medical Center and includes a network of outpatient clinics in the region.
