The new regional leadership structure aims to combine the resources of Mercy-Clinton (Iowa), Mercy-Dubuque (Iowa) and Iowa-based critical access hospitals in Guttenberg, Elkader and Dyersville.
Ms. Takes currently serves as president of Mercy-Dubuque, a position she will retain in addition to her new role. She has worked at Mercy Health Network since 1998, serving in several leadership roles.
Ms. Berentes, who also recently became executive vice president at Mercy-Clinton, will report to Ms. Takes. Ms. Berentes has worked at Mercy-Clinton for a decade.
