Mr. Urban has worked with Mercy Health-Cincinnati for 25 years, becoming leader of the Fairfield Hospital in 2008. During his tenure, the hospital received Magnet recognition twice and an A grade from CMS for overall performance in keeping patients safe from preventable harm and errors.
Mr. Urban is active in the community, serving in leadership roles with the Greater Cincinnati Health Council, Ohio Hospital Association and West Chester/Liberty Chamber Alliance. He received the chamber alliance’s Everest Award in 2018.
Shane Knisley will take over as interim leader of Mercy Health-Fairfield Hospital. Mr. Knisley is the hospital’s COO. He previously served as COO at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith, Ark.
