MemorialCare names VP of quality and safety, HR leader at 2 hospitals

MemorialCare has named a vice president of quality and safety and a vice president of human resources for two of its hospitals in California: Long Beach Medical Center and Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach.

Abbey Herrera-Williams will serve as vice president of human resources at the hospitals, overseeing strategic resources and talent guidance. She has spent more than 30 years in human resources and leadership roles at nonprofit hospitals and systems, including at Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health and St. Vincent Medical Center in Los Angeles. 

Heather Foster was named vice president of quality and patient safety, and will oversee efforts to drive improved outcomes and quality metrics. She has spent more than 20 years in quality, safety and risk management roles in acute and ambulatory settings. Ms. Foster joins MemorialCare from Sutter Health in Sacramento and Stanford University Health Care in Palo Alto.
