Memorial Sloan Kettering names chief physician executive

New York City-based Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center has appointed Jeffrey Drebin, MD, PhD, as chief physician executive.

Dr. Drebin previously served as chair of the department of surgery, according to a 

June 18 news release from the cancer center. 

He has played a significant role in the development of the center’s new Kenneth C. Griffin Pavilion, the release said. 

Dr. Drebin will succeed Lisa DeAngelis, MD, who is retiring as chief physician executive on July 2.
