Memorial Hospital of Salem County CEO departs

Ryan Jensen will leave his post as CEO of The Memorial Hospital of Salem (N.J.) County in January to become the CEO at Las Vegas-based Desert Springs Hospital, NJ.com reports.

Here are four things to know.

1. Mr. Jensen has acted as CEO at Memorial Hospital since May 2014. The hospital is in the process of being sold from its parent company Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems to Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare Foundation.

2. He previously served as Desert Springs’ COO for two years before joining Memorial Hospital.

3. Mr. Jensen announced his departure Dec. 14 to Memorial Hospital’s board of trustees. A search for his replacement will begin immediately, according to the report.     

4. He graduated from Provo, Utah-based Brigham Young University. Throughout his career, he has worked at hospitals in California, Texas, Washington, D.C., and Ohio, according to the report.
