Marissa Kiefer has been named president of UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s and UH MacDonald Women’s hospitals, both in Cleveland, effective June 1.
Ms. Kiefer serves as senior vice president and CEO of Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, according to a March 27 University Hospitals news release.
In her current role, she oversees strategic leadership and operations of the 332-bed, $900 million children’s teaching hospital. The facility is part of the 14-hospital Memorial Hermann Health System.
She will succeed Patti DePompei, MSN, RN, who retired in January after more than 35 years with University Hospitals.
