MedStar Health exec heads to Maimonides Health

Maimonides Health has named Cody Legler, DNP, APRN, senior vice president and chief nursing officer. He joins the Brooklyn, N.Y.-based health system from MedStar Health in Columbia, Md., where he served as vice president and CNO of perioperative services.

Dr. Legler has spent more than 15 years in nursing and health services administration roles. At MedStar, where he held numerous nursing leadership positions, Dr. Legler led the creation of a surgical tech apprenticeship program.

He succeeds Carol Kidney, RN, who had been serving as CNO on an interim basis at Maimonides Health.
