Holly Schienke, RN, MSN, has been named chief nursing officer of McLaren Lapeer (Mich.) Region.
Ms. Schienke has worked with Grant Blanc, Mich.-based McLaren Health since the start of her nursing career, according to a Jan. 19 news release shared with Becker’s. She stepped into her first leadership role in 2009 as assistant clinical manager of the ICU at what is now McLaren Macomb in Mount Clemens, Mich.
Most recently, Ms. Schienke served as director of patient care services at McLaren Port Huron, where she oversaw seven nursing units covering 152 beds. She succeeds Mary Spanke, who retired after a more than 40-year nursing career, including the last three years as CNO of McLaren Lapeer Region.
McLaren-Lapeer Region is a 222-bed hospital and is the only level 2 trauma center in the region.
