McLaren Greater Lansing CEO Tom Mee abruptly resigns: 5 things to know

Tom Mee, BSN, president and CEO of McLaren Greater Lansing (Mich.), has resigned, effective immediately, according to a Lansing State Journal report.

Here are five things to know:

1. A statement from McLaren noted Mr. Mee is leaving due to “personal reasons,” according to the report.

2. He has served at the helm of the hospital since 2014. Prior to that, he was COO.

3. He joined Grand Blanc, Mich.-based McLaren Health Care in 2007, first serving as vice president and chief nursing officer at McLaren Lapeer (Mich.) Region.

4. Recently, McLaren Greater Lansing announced that it will consolidate its two current Lansing facilities into a new $450 million campus near Michigan State University in East Lansing.

5. McLaren Greater Lansing COO Casey Kandow will take over as interim president and CEO until a permanent replacement is identified.
