Mayo Clinic Announces Next President/CEO

The Mayo Clinic Board of Trustees elected John Noseworthy, MD, to succeed Denis Cortese, MD, as its next president and CEO when Dr. Cortese retires in November, according to a Mayo news release.

Dr. Noseworthy will work with Dr. Cortese over the next several months to facilitate a smooth transition.

Dr. Noseworthy is the medical director of the Mayo Clinic Department of Development, a consultant in the Department of Neurology and professor of neurology in the College of Medicine, Mayo Clinic, according to the release. He is also a vice chair of the Mayo Clinic Rochester (Minn.) Executive Board.
