Massachusetts hospital names CEO

Abha Agrawal, MD, was selected as the next president and CEO of Lawrence (Mass.) General Hospital.

Dr. Agrawal, a practicing internal medicine physician, serves as chief medical officer at Humboldt Park Health in Chicago, according to an Oct. 27 news release. She also is founder of A4 Clinics in India, a group of advanced neuro rehabilitation centers.

Dr. Agrawal will begin her new role at Lawrence General in January. Lawrence General Hospital’s interim CEO, Robin Hynds, MSN, at that time will resume her role as the hospital’s executive vice president and COO. 

Lawrence General has about 2,000 employees and serves the Merrimack Valley and Southern New Hampshire.
