Susan Szulewski, MD, was appointed president and COO of McLean Hospital in Belmont, Mass., part of Somerville, Mass.-based Mass General Brigham.
Dr. Szulewski will assume her new role Nov. 1 while continuing to serve as vice president of clinical operations for Mass General Brigham Behavioral and Mental Health, according to a news release from the health system.
She joined McLean in 2015 and most recently served as chief medical officer.
In her new role, she succeeds Scott Rauch, MD, who has served as president and psychiatrist-in-chief at McLean, as well as chair of Mass General Brigham Behavioral and Mental Health, since 2006.
