MaineHealth taps VP of medical affairs for adolescent behavioral health

MaineHealth Behavioral Health, the Portland-based health system’s behavioral health division, has appointed Melissa Bowker-Kinley, PhD, as vice president of medical affairs for child and adolescent services.

In this role, Dr. Bowker-Kinley will lead the coordination and development of behavioral healthcare services for children and adolescents across the health system, according to a Jan. 3 news release. 

MaineHealth Behavioral Health includes a network of outpatient treatment facilities and Spring Harbor Hospital, an inpatient psychiatric hospital in Westbrook. Dr. Bowker-Kinley is the former medical director of child and adolescent services at Spring Harbor Hospital.
