Maine hospitals name regional chief nursing executive: 3 things to know

Paula Delahanty, BSN, RN, has been named regional chief nursing officer of Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast, Maine, and Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport, Maine.

Here are three things to know about Ms. Delahanty.

1. She served as vice president of nursing services at Pen Bay Medical Center since 2007.

2. She has been engaged in a number of evolving collaborative partnerships, including working on developing and implementing the Maine Nurse Core Competencies for employers, hospital officials said.

3. Ms. Delahanty is also affiliated with or a member of the following organizations: MaineHealth Chief Nursing Officer Council, VHA Chief Nursing Officer Council, American Nurses Association of Maine, American Nurses Association, Organization of Maine Nurse Leaders, Maine Partners in Nursing Education and Practice, Maine Nursing Action Coalition and the University of Maine Augusta Nursing Program Advisory Committee.
