Loyola taps new hospital president

Maywood, Ill.-based Loyola Medicine has appointed Sarah Hunter as president of Gottlieb Memorial Hospital in Melrose Park, Ill.

Ms. Hunter previously served as director of hospital operations at Gottlieb from 2019 to 2021, overseeing procedural, ancillary and community-based departments, according to a Sept. 23 hospital news release shared with Becker’s. She began her career at Loyola Medicine in 2012, holding several leadership roles at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, Ill., through 2019.

Most recently, she was COO at Northwest Health in Valparaiso, Ind., where she led procedural growth, introduced new service lines and helped launch the system’s first residency programs.
