Charles Bareis, MD, has been appointed president of MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, Ill., part of Maywood, Ill.-based Loyola Medicine.
Dr. Bareis will continue to serve as chief medical officer, a role he has held since 2006, according to an Oct. 7 LinkedIn post from Loyola Medicine. He joined the hospital as an internist in 1992.
He succeeds Pierre Monice, who served as the hospital’s president until he was named president and CEO of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Holy Cross Health in May.
