For the last year and a half, Mr. Shirilla served as associate administrator for UT Health Athens (Texas), where he was the leading operator of the 127-bed facility, according to a Jan. 13 news release. He developed several initiatives to boost the facility’s net promoter score by 25 percent, operationalized a sleep center and developed an agreement to provide nephrology call coverage for the hospital, clinic space and the development of a dialysis program.
Before joining UT Health Athens, Mr. Shirilla was an associate administrator for Lovelace Medical Center, where he provided strategic direction to radiation oncology, imaging, environmental services and the therapies department, among other areas.
He has a master’s degree in healthcare delivery science from Arizona State University in Tempe.
