Los Alamos Medical Center names John Whiteside interim CEO: 4 notes

John Whiteside has stepped into the role of interim CEO of Los Alamos (N.M.) Medical Center, a part of Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health, according to a Los Alamos Daily Post report.

Here are four notes:

1. Mr. Whiteside most recently served as COO of a health system in Louisiana, also a part of LifePoint Health.

2. In his previous role as COO, Mr. Whiteside oversaw the daily operations of the health system’s two hospitals.

3. He is replacing Feliciano Jiron, who left his post to lead another LifePoint Health facility in Arizona.

4. Mr. Whiteside has served as a U.S. Marine and completed combat missions in Iraq.
