Los Alamos Medical Center drops 'interim' from CEO John Whiteside's title: 4 takeaways

Los Alamos (N.M.) Medical Center tapped John Whiteside to serve as permanent CEO, effective immediately, according to a Los Alamos Daily Post report.

Here are four takeaways:

1. Mr. Whiteside has been serving as interim CEO of the Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health facility since August 2016.

2. Prior to that, he was COO of Ville Platte, La.-based Mercy Regional Medical Center and its Eunice, La.-based campus called Acadian Medical Center.

3. He succeeded Feliciano Jiron, who left his post to lead another LifePoint Health facility in Arizona.

4. He holds an MBA from St. Leo (Fla.) University.
