Ms. Shibinette is currently the deputy commissioner at DHHS. She succeeds Bob MacLeod, who led the state psychiatric hospital until New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu told him to resign in May. Mr. MacLeod was told to resign after state officials found that Lebanon, N.H.-based Dartmouth-Hitchcock has been violating its staffing contract. Dartmouth-Hitchcock took over staffing for NH Hospital in September 2016.
Ms. Shibinette previously served as administrator and CEO of Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen, N.H., where she led a staff of more than 500 employees. While serving as DHHS’ deputy commissioner, she oversaw the management of both the Glencliff (N.H.) Home and NH Hospital. She will continue to oversee Glencliff Home and will remain a member of the Department’s Executive Management Team, according to a DHHS statement.
DHHS Commissioner Jeffrey A. Meyers thanked interim CEO Don Shumway, who led the hospital for the last few months.
