Longmont (Colo.) United Hospital President and CEO Mitchell Carson is stepping down, after leading the two-year transition to the hospital’s new parent, Centennial, Colo.-based Centura Health, according to a Times-Call News report.

1. Mr. Carson and Centura Health agreed to a two-year management transition timeline in 2015, when the health system bought Longmont United Hospital.

2. Per the agreement, Mr. Carson could look for new opportunities following the two years.

3. He served as CEO of Longmont United Hospital for 16 years.

4. During his tenure, the hospital expanded clinical service lines and developed new partnerships.
