Lifepoint Iowa hospital taps CEO

Ottumwa (Iowa) Regional Health Center named Richard Bergmann as CEO, effective Nov. 10.

Mr. Bergmann brings more than 25 years of hospital operations experience, according to an Oct. 16 Ottumwa Regional news release.

He most recently served as COO at Havasu Regional Medical Center in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., where the hospital earned a Leapfrog safety grade of “A” and improved to a three-star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in one year.

Ottumwa Regional is a 217-bed hospital offering services including emergency care, medical and surgical care, critical care and specialty services. It is part of Brentwood, Tenn.-based Lifepoint Health.
