LifePoint Health appoints presidents for Eastern, Central divisions

Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health tapped James Carter to serve as president of its Eastern Division and Cherie Sibley as president of its Central Division.

Mr. Carter was previously COO of the hospital operator’s Eastern Group, a role he assumed in 2015. He has previously served as administrator of Conway Hospital in Little Rock, Ark., and as COO of Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

In his new role, Mr. Carter will oversee LifePoint’s facilities in Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Virginia, including all Duke LifePoint Healthcare facilities.

Ms. Sibley formerly served as LifePoint’s Central Group COO. She has worked within the health system since 2001, serving in a number of leadership roles, including as Central Kentucky East market president and CEO of Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Ky. She was also COO of Vaughan Regional Medical Center in Selma, Ala. She is an at-large board member for the ACHE-Middle Tennessee Chapter.

As Central Division president, Ms. Sibley will lead LifePoint’s facilities in Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia.
