Lewis County General Hospital taps Gerald Cayer to lead as CEO

Lewis County General Hospital in Lowville, N.Y., named Gerald R. Cayer CEO.

Mr. Cayer previously served in numerous leadership roles at Franklin Community Health Network and Franklin Memorial Hospital, both in Farmington, Maine, including vice president, executive vice president and COO. He also led the Health and Human Services Department for Portland, Maine.

Mr. Cayer holds a master of public health degree from Boston University. He served as chair of the board of visitors at University of Maine at Farmington and president of the board of directors at the Maine Lung Association.

He takes over from Michele Prince, who was interim CEO. Ms. Prince will return to her role as COO.
