Lee Health taps Orlando Health exec as new CIO

Fort Myer, Fla.-based Lee Health has selected Rick Schooler to serve as CIO.

Mr. Schooler most recently served was vice president and CIO at Orlando (Fla.) Health. He was previously vice president and CIO at Macon-based Central Georgia Health System, now known as Navicent Health.

He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, College of Healthcare Information Management Executives and the Healthcare Information Management and Systems Society. He has served on the boards of HIMSS Analytics, HIMSS North America and CHIME.

Mr. Schooler holds an MBA from the University of Indianapolis and is a CHIME-certified healthcare CIO.
