Larry Kaiser, MD. Senior Executive Vice President and CEO of Temple University Health System (Philadelphia). Dr. Kaiser, a thoracic surgeon, author and internationally renowned academic executive, is dean of Temple University School of Medicine in addition to his role as CEO of Temple University Health System and senior executive vice president for health affairs. Prior to joining Temple, he was president of the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, held a number of administrative positions at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, and was a member of the thoracic surgery staff at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Dr. Kaiser has been a director of the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and was elected to the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences in 2004.
