Lahey Health announces retirement of two hospital CEOs

Burlington, Mass.-based Lahey Health Board of Trustees has announced Denis Conroy, CEO of Beverly Hospital, located in Beverly, Mass., and Addison Gilbert Hospital, located in Gloucester, will retire on Jan. 15, 2015. The Board also announced the retirement of Kevin Smith, CEO of Winchester (Mass.) Hospital, which will also come into effect on Jan. 15, 2015.

Phil Cormier, the current COO of Beverly and Addison Gilbert hospitals, will assume the role of CEO for the two facilities, and Dale Lodge, the current president and CEO of the Winchester Physician Associates and former Winchester Hospital CEO, will step into the role of Winchester’s CEO again.

“We are enormously grateful to both Denis and Kevin for their leadership and their substantial contributions to the strength of our system. They are leaving a legacy of uncompromising patient and work place focus that will continue for years to come. We wish them tremendous happiness,” said Howard Grant, JD, MD, president and CEO of Lahey Health.
