Erica Gregonis, MD, the former chief medical officer and vice president of Baptist Health Richmond (Ky.), recently became CMO at a three-hospital system in Kentucky.
In a July 8 news release, Owensboro (Ky.) Health announced Dr. Gregonis as its chief medical officer. In the role, she will oversee the system’s medical staff and lead quality, patient safety and population health initiatives.
Owensboro’s previous CMO, Francis DuFrayne, MD, “will serve as Interim Chief Operating Officer for Owensboro Health Medical Group during the leadership transition before returning to clinical practice,” according to the release.
Dr. Gregonis most recently worked at Baptist Health Richmond, a 105-bed hospital owned by Louisville, Ky.-based Baptist Health, which operates 10 hospitals. Owensboro Health has three hospitals, a cancer center and a medical group exceeding 350 providers across more than 30 locations, according to its website.
