Keck Medicine of USC taps Tammy Capretta as chief transformation and risk officer

Keck Medicine of University of South California in Los Angeles appointed Tammy Capretta, RN, chief transformation and risk officer.

Ms. Capretta previously served as the organization’s chief integration and risk officer. She has played a key role in Keck Medicine’s expansion efforts, including the integration of several clinical entities into the health system, including USC Verdugo Hills Hospital in Glendale, Calif.

She also has served as chair of the Association of American Medical Colleges’ compliance officers’ forum.

In her new role, Ms. Capretta be responsible for identifying potential partnerships, cultural transformation, risk management, compliance and credentialing.

She joined Keck Medicine in 1991 as COO of the USC Care Medical Group.

Ms. Capretta holds a master’s degree in public health from the University of California-Los Angeles.
