Katie Boston-Leary is UM Prince George’s Hospital Center’s new chief nursing officer

Cheverly-based University of Maryland Capital Region Health appointed Katie Boston-Leary, BSN, RN, chief nursing officer for UM Prince George’s Hospital Center in Cheverly.

Ms. Boston-Leary most recently served as senior vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer at Union Hospital of Cecil County in Elkton, Md. She has 25-plus years of nursing experience.

Ms. Boston-Leary is certified as an advanced nursing executive and operating room nurse by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She also holds nurse executive certification from Philadelphia-based University of Pennsylvania Wharton Nurse Leaders Program. She is in the midst of gaining her doctorate in health services from Walden University in Minneapolis.
