Kansas’ Via Christi Health CEO Leaves to Join Coventry Health Care

Coventry Health Care, based in Bethesda, Md., announced yesterday that Kevin Conlin will join the company as executive vice president, according to a MarketWatch report.

Mr. Conlin most recently served as president and CEO of Via Christi Health in Wichita, Kan. While at Via Christi, Mr. Conlin helped open the first new hospital in Via Christi’s history, launch new technology-driven programs and sell Preferred Health Systems, the system’s health plan insurance company, to Coventry Health Care.

Mr. Conlin will assume his role as executive vice president of Coventry Health Care in Jan. 2011.
