1. Ms. Knodel most recently served as senior vice president and CNO of St. Louis-based Mercy Health System.
2. She also served as senior vice president and CNO at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, N.D.
3. She is a past president of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, and in 2016, the American College of Healthcare Executives honored her with the Gold Medal Award.
4. In her new role, Ms. Knodel will lead 54,000 nurses across eight states.
