Joseph White to serve as CEO of Circle Health, Lowell General Hospital: 5 things to know

Lowell, Mass.-based Circle Health appointed Joseph White CEO of Lowell (Mass.) General Hospital as well as Circle Health, effective April 10.

Circle Health is a nonprofit collaboration of physicians, hospitals, other health providers and organizations. Lowell General Hospital is a Circle Health facility.

Here five things to know:

1. Mr. White currently serves as Lowell General Hospital president.

2. Prior to that, he served as executive vice president and COO at Lowell General.

3. He holds an MBA degree from the University of New Haven (Conn.).

4. Mr. White succeeds Norm Deschene, who will now focus exclusively on serving as CEO of Wellforce.

5. Wellforce is the health system formed by Boston-based Tufts Medical Center and Circle Health in October 2014.
