Joseph Mitchell is Acadia General Hospital’s new CEO

Lafayette (La.) General Health selected Joseph Mitchell to serve as CEO of Acadia General Hospital in Crowley, La., effective June 26.

Equipped with more 25 years of healthcare leadership experience, Mr. Mitchell most recently served as president of Trinity Hospital Twin City in Dennison, Ohio.  His previous roles also include serving as CEO at River Valley Medical Center in Dardanelle, Ark., and Holdenville (Okla.) General Hospital.

Mr. Mitchell holds a master’s degree in health services administration from University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and he has served as examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.

Mr. Mitchell takes over from Glenn Dailey, who has been serving as interim leader of the hospital. Mr. Dailey will return to his role as associate administrator.
