Johns Hopkins, UMMS tap CEO for pediatric hospital

Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital in Baltimore has named Scott Klein, MD, its next president and CEO, effective July 1.

Dr. Klein is a pediatrician with more than 30 years’ experience in children’s hospitals, according to an April 12 news release from Mt. Washington. He most recently served as executive vice president, chief operating officer and chief medical officer of Valhalla, N.Y.-based Blythedale Children’s Hospital. 

Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital is co-owned by the University of Maryland Medical System and Johns Hopkins Medicine, both based in Baltimore.
