Four things to know:
1. Mr. Scott will also serve as acting vice president of security for Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins University.
2. For the last year, he has served as chief of staff in the Office of the Vice President for Security.
3. Prior to that, he was deputy director of operations within Baltimore’s Department of Transportation.
4. Mr. Scott replaces Melissa Hyatt, who left to become Baltimore County’s police chief.
