Jay Anderson to serve as president of Kishwaukee, Valley West hospitals: 4 takeaways

Chicago-based Northwestern Medicine named Jay Anderson president of Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb, Ill., and Valley West Hospital in Sandwich, Ill., according to a Daily Chronicle report.

Here are four takeaways:

1. Mr. Anderson most recently served as senior vice president of quality, analytics and performance for Northwestern Medicine.

2. He has been with Northwestern Medicine since 2001 and has held numerous executive roles at the organization.

3. Mr. Anderson succeeds Kevin Poorten, who is taking on the role of Northwestern Medicine's west region president, overseeing four hospitals.

4. Kishwaukee and Valley West hospitals are a part of KishHealth System, which joined Northwestern Medicine in 2015.
