Christopher Strear, MD, has joined Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health as chief medical officer of St. Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Mont.
Dr. Strear is an emergency medicine physician with more than two decades of experience in healthcare leadership. He joins Intermountain Health from Portland, Ore.-based OHSU, where he has served as CMO of Columbia Memorial Hospital in Astoria, Ore., for nearly four years, according to a May 13 news release shared with Becker’s.
Prior to that, he spent 18 years practicing as an attending physician at Legacy Health in Portland, Ore. He is also the former director of operations and patient flow at the system.
