Virginia’s Memorial Hospital Names CEO

Grady W. “Skip” Philips III has been named the CEO of Memorial Hospital in Martinsville, Va., according to a Martinsville Bulletin report.

LifePoint Hospitals, which owns the 237-bed Memorial, announced the new executive on Friday, according to the report. Mr. Philips will start work in late October.

Mr. Philips was CEO for Houston Healthcare System in Warner Robins, Ga., for nearly two years before being terminated without explanation in May.

Mr. Philips succeeds Joe Roach, who is now the CEO of Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, Ala.
