Munster, Ind.-based Powers Health has made multiple leadership moves at two hospitals that will take effect July 1.
Four things to know:
1. Janice Ryba, CEO of St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart, Ind., will retire June 30 after more than 40 years of service and nearly 19 years as CEO, according to a June 17 health system news release shared with Becker’s.
2. Leo Correa, CEO of St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago, Ind., was appointed CEO of St. Mary Medical Center. Mr. Correa brings more than three decades of healthcare leadership experience and has served as CEO of St. Catherine Hospital for the past nine years.
3. Nectaria Bonner, PharmD, who most recently served as director of pharmacy at St. Catherine Hospital, was appointed CEO of St. Catherine Hospital. Dr. Bonner joined the healthcare system in 2013 and has served as the hospital’s director of pharmacy since 2019.
4. Powers Health comprises four nonprofit hospitals: Community Hospital in Munster, Ind.; St. Catherine Hospital; St. Mary Medical Center; and Powers Health Rehabilitation Center in Crown Point, Ind.
