Mr. Gutierrez most recently served as president and CEO of Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point, N.J. He will take the place of Thomas A. Reitinger, who was brought in to run the hospital on an interim basis following the departure of longtime CEO Nancy Hellyer in Dec. 2009.
Mr. Gutierrez named his top priorities as preparing the organization for healthcare reform and establishing its identity in the region, according to the report.
